Amie - Supervisor, Brabazon Bar
I started at The Belfry as an F&B Assistant 2 years ago and shortly after expressed my interest in learning and development. My manager supported me and helped me gain the right experience for this. I was promoted to Team Leader then Supervisor. I’ve been really lucky to be able to take part in the creation of the new cocktail menus we’ve created for the Brabazon Bar and it’s great that there’s always more things to learn and I have the opportunity to pass it onto others. The Belfry is a good place to work as it’s got good values and there’s always future opportunities available, if you’re looking for hospitality it’s the best you can get. I love the wellbeing benefits, particularly The Burnt Chef Project as mental health is such a big thing and knowing you can get support on this whenever you want is really nice. The Belfry Belief I connect with the most is ‘Better Together’ as things aren’t possible all by yourself, you need to work together as a team to get things done. The best thing about the Belfry is that all the team are respected here and you are always listened to and supported.

Nikhil – Assistant Manager, Brabazon Bar
I joined the Belfry two years ago as a Senior Supervisor in 2021 and was quickly promoted to Assistant Manager in the Brabazon Bar – this was my biggest achievement being a part of such a successful department. Since I have joined there has been a huge drive in training with the different LEAD development programmes, and also I believe the Belfry to be massively ahead of the curve in things such as mental health awareness, making sure that the teams are cared for. There is nowhere else I have worked that prioritises their teams needs as well as we do here. The advice I’d give people joining The Belfry is don’t be afraid of new challenges, push yourself to learn anything and everything that you can as it will only benefit you in the long run. The Belfry Belief I connect most with is ‘Better Together’ as I think that the best Belfry experience can only happen if every department across the resort pulls in the same direction.

Sam - F&B Assistant, Ryder Grill
I started when I was 18 years old in M&E as an F&B assistant before moving into The Ryder Grill but over the last 5 years. I’ve followed in the footsteps of my both my mum and brother who also worked here. I’ve been able to work in many parts of the resort mostly because of ability to have flexibility for my personal commitments as well as my work. I love getting opportunities to do team leader shifts and it’s great to be trusted to deliver on those shifts. I also get to train new people joining the team and making sure new people enjoy their job as much as I do. The best thing about The Belfry is the people; they make the shifts fun. I connect mostly with The Belfry value ‘Own Your Actions’ having always been taught that if you make a mistake, own up to it, and move on. That’s a good tool for life.
