  Daniel - Head Professional, Golf Academy

  I joined The Belfry in 2020 as Head Professional in the Golf Academy which we completely refurbished and introduced Top Tracer. My manager has hugely helped with my career development as well as joining the training programme, LEAD. I help my team to develop and we are bringing our professionals through their PGA training helping them to get their degrees and PGA qualified. We offer training on all the products, take them to visit our providers and give them the opportunity to practice on the course. One of the best things about working at The Belfry is hosting big major events like the British Masters – the resort never stands still and it always drives me to do something new. It’s a varied department and very fast-paced. The best benefits working here are the support with mental health, using the driving range for free and the gym memberships. The Belfry Belief I connect with most is Make a Difference – I like to give customers the wow experience and a memorable day.

  Owen - Golf Assistant, Golf Operations

  I joined The Belfry in 2023 having retired from my previous job after 22 years. A friend who, I play golf with, mentioned that there were vacancies as part of the golf operations team. So I applied and was successful. What I like about my role here is that it gives me an opportunity to interact with people from different countries, backgrounds and who I share a common interest in golf with. To work at The Belfry, you need to be customer driven, a team player, flexible and hold a good work ethic. The golf operations team work well as a team to help us give our guests the best experience here on the courses. Plus as a golfer, I’ve learned so much, which has improved my game allowing me to take part in national competitions. Working in Golf Operations is a friendly environment to be in and has a family feel to it which, I believe, is echoed around the other departments in the resort.
