Anna - Deputy Head Greenkeeper
I joined The Belfry in 2020 starting in projects and irrigation before being promoted to Deputy Head Greenkeeper of the Brabazon course. Some of my proudest moment were supporting the resort to become GEO certified and winning the Resort Directors Choice Award for my contribution here. I connect most of the ‘Deliver Every Day’ value as we I like to deliver to the highest standards. One of the best parts of my job inspiring other women to choose this career path through talks on annual meetings, college talks, and branch event talks, also promoting women in turf through television and magazines and representing the Belfry at tournaments. The Belfry focus on their people and I try to be supportive of my team to reach their potential whilst being custodians of an iconic historical venue that has that magic about it.

Ethan - Senior Greenkeeper
I joined The Belfry 2 years and did not know anything about greenkeeping. I always played golf and I love learning which helped me progress as a trainee to a Senior Greenkeeper. My team and managers have lots of experience and took me under their wing. All are well respected in the industry, and you can feel that. I’ve been really lucky to work during big events and tournaments and I had the opportunity to go to Scotland last year and work during the Scottish Open. I learnt so much and it was a great opportunity. I’m currently completing my Apprenticeship in Greenkeeping and would like to complete more in the future. It’s an honour to work here and I am proud to be here and the benefits are great….I play golf, use the shopping vouchers and The Burnt Chef mental health support. The Belfry Belief I connect with most is Own Your Actions – with the nature of our job, sometimes mistakes happen, and we use ownership to rectify those. I would like to repay back the faith The Belfry have put in me.

Jack - Landscape Manager
I joined the Belfry 2 years ago and it feels nice to be in this industry. I am coming from a landscaping background, and I really wanted to work where my heart is, outside and in nature; that’s my favourite thing about working here. My biggest achievement since starting at the hotel is being part of the ESG Team and watching it grow and succeed. I take pride working with everyone and building good relationships. You have got so many types of different employees and from different walks of life at the hotel and there is never a boring day. The chances for development are huge and I never feel like there will be an issue of progression in my job, there are always opportunities.
