  Marius - Housekeeper

  I have worked at The Belfry for a total of 8 years. I started as a room attendant and spent three years in that role before transitioning to Public Areas. Additionally, I gained experience in all other areas of Housekeeping. Throughout my career development at The Belfry, I've received support from Susie, who has been with me since I started, and Gillian, my supervisor. My biggest achievement at The Belfry was being recognized as a Belfry Hero, a moment I was truly proud of. I help others to develop by offering assistance wherever I can. With my knowledge of the facility, I guide new and existing team members, showing them where to find things and how to complete tasks. I enjoy meeting new people and engaging with our customers. If I could advise my younger self, I would say, "Don’t be afraid to follow your dreams with determination". Among the benefits offered by The Belfry, I find the Spa and Gym facilities to be the most beneficial and enjoyable. The Belfry Belief that resonates with me the most is "Better together". I value the collaborative environment within my team, where we can exchange opinions and support each other. I choose to stay at The Belfry because I genuinely like it here and find fulfilment in my work.

  Gillian - Supervisor

  I have been working at the Belfry for just over 5 years and I am looking after the public areas of the hotel. Since working at the Belfry, I have gained lots of confidence and I learned more about the hospitality sector. The training opportunities here are fantastic and I would like to step up to a more senior role in the future. Lots of positive changes are happening at the resort and it has become a more diverse workplace. My favourite thing of working here is meeting new people and our guests every day. I like challenges as well. I can make my own decisions and manage myself and my team with lot of support. I am hoping to stay until I retire.
