The Belfry Hotel & Resort has expanded its sales team with two new hires as demand for its award-winning meetings and events offering grows. The resort, in West Midlands, is delighted to announce the appointments of Sarah Millington as Account Director for Associations and Banqueting, and Charlotte Moore as Regional Account Manager.
With a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry, Sarah will utilise her proactive approach, tenacious character, and keen eye for identifying how spaces can be transformed to drive association, gala dinner, and award ceremony sales for The Belfry’s flagship new events space, The Masters Suite. With a focus on relationship building, Sarah’s role will see her work closely with Visit England, West Midlands Growth Company and ABPCO (Association of British Professional Conference Organisers). Having spent the last seven years leading the sales team at Unique Venues Birmingham, Sarah has a strong background that makes her ideally suited to raising awareness of the capabilities of the new venue.
Commenting on her appointment, Sarah said: “I’m thrilled to have joined one of the UK’s most recognised meetings and events venues. It’s such an exciting time for The Belfry, with more than £12million-worth of enquiries for The Masters Suite already, and I can’t wait to help further the success of this iconic resort. With more than 10 years of experience in sales behind me, I’m excited to get stuck in and show prospective clients exactly why The Belfry’s reputation for excellence is so deserved.”
A skilled communicator with a talent for understanding clients’ wants and needs, Charlotte’s new position as Regional Account Manager will see her identify and pursue opportunities for growth across all areas of the resort. This includes meetings and events, hotel accommodation and leisure facilities. With a comprehensive background in corporate sales, her experience leaves her well placed to generate new business and build strong relationships with Midlands-based clients. Having spent almost a decade as Resort Sales Manager at Resorts World, Charlotte brings with her extensive insight into client management and corporate relationship building strategies.
Reflecting on her new position, Charlotte said: “From meetings and events to leisure, The Belfry has such an innovative and versatile offering across its operations, and I can’t wait to champion this with both new and existing clients. Corporate sales is my passion, and I’m determined to hit the ground running to ensure The Belfry’s status as a leading events destination in the Midlands goes from strength to strength.”
Recently named ‘England’s Best Incentive Hotel 2024’ at the World MICE Awards, The Belfry is home to 23 stylish and adaptable events spaces and is expertly placed to cater for everything from the corporate and international markets to the incentive and association markets. Its dynamic new venue, The Masters Suite, part of a wider £80million development project at the resort, will further enhance The Belfry’s award-winning meetings and events offering when it opens in September 2025.
Katie Niland, Commercial Director at The Belfry, said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming Sarah and Charlotte to our talented sales team. Their reputations precede them, and they have already made valuable contributions in the few short weeks they’ve been here. It’s clear they will be real assets to the resort, and I look forward to working with them to ensure The Belfry’s impressive events offering continues to thrive.”
