The Belfry Hotel & Resort in North Warwickshire is now serving Urban Rhino gin in the award-winning The Brabazon Bar. The Belfry is the first golf resort in the UK to serve the gin, allowing guests to enjoy a delicious tipple while actively contributing to the fight against rhino extinction.
Guest can sample Urban Rhino Gin neat, on the rocks, in a classic G&T, or instead opt to try Brabazon Bar’s Apis cocktail. Apis is a pairing of The Belfry’s very own award-winning Belfry 1960 Gin mixed with Urban Rhino Gin and agave nectar, topped with flavoured tonic water.
Urban Rhino London Dry Gin is made to a simple and refined recipe of just six botanicals offering a flavour of citrusy blossom from lemon peel, a warmth from coriander seed, and a refined gin taste from a delicate blend of orris root, cassia bark and liquorice root. Urban Rhino Gin Founder, Pete Richardson, is co-founder of the world’s first purpose-built facility – The Rhino Orphanage, Urban Rhino Gin’s charity partner, which works to protect and conserve both rhinos and their habitat. 10 per cent of the proceeds of each bottle of the gin goes to the Orphanage.
"We are thrilled to partner with Urban Rhino Gin and offer our guests an extraordinary addition to our bar menu," said Jacques Hobson, Director of Food and Beverage at The Belfry Hotel & Resort. "Our commitment to providing exceptional quality and variety is exemplified by this latest addition, and we are confident that Urban Rhino Gin will delight our discerning clientele which they can enjoy while also helping to contribute to a good cause."
Guests can sip on their G&Ts and cocktails in the all-new Brabazon Bar which has recently undergone a refurbishment featuring a rich and vibrant décor and new soft furnishings crafted by a local upholsterer.
