The Belfry Hotel & Resort, located in Royal Sutton Coldfield, North Warwickshire, has donated its entire crèche to Alternative Learning Project (ALP) Nuneaton, which specialises in placements for children with complex learning and behavioural difficulties.
ALP Nuneaton, which opened on 11th January 2021, caters for children with Autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour, or complex learning needs, within an Ofsted registered school.
The Belfry’s soft play crèche will be used to develop two sensory soft playrooms to offer a safe and secure place for children to relax, play and learn - a crucial part in their development.
Alternative Learning Project (ALP) Nuneaton’s would not have been able to develop a sensory playroom for another two years, so the donation will have a huge impact on the school allowing them to use budget elsewhere to help the learning and development of their pupils.
Susie Boggie, Director of Rooms at The Belfry said: “It is at the heart of The Belfry to support our local area, so it is fantastic that we are able to support ALP Nuneaton by donating our crèche. ALP schools provide a fantastic start for children with complex learning and behavioural difficulties and we are delighted to hear how much of an impact this donation will have on both staff and pupils now and for years to come.”
Julie Rawle, Head of ALP Nuneaton said: “We feel highly privileged to receive this donation from The Belfry. This donation will contribute to the therapeutic support we provide for our learners and will be a positive contribution towards their bespoke education.”
